The Law Offices of Steven P. Forbes is a boutique law firm with offices in Jamaica, New York, conveniently located near the Queens Family Court. Managing attorney Steven P. Forbes, Esq., graduated from St. John’s University Law School in 1994. Immediately thereafter, he worked in private practice in a variety of areas including family law and divorce. By 1995, he was working exclusively in the area of Family Law. In 2000, he joined the 18-b Panel in Queens County andthe Appeals Panel for the Second Department of New York, accepting family law assignments for representation of the indigent.
Attorney Steven Forbes has represented well over 1000 litigants and children in Family Court cases involving custody and visitation, child abuse and neglect, termination of parental rights, juvenile delinquency, orders of protection, guardianship, and support proceedings. He has drafted hundreds of briefs and argued numerous cases before New York State appeals courts,including the States highest court, the New York State Court of Appeals.
